Professor Blows Audience's Mind With Magic Trick

Have you ever noticed that magic can be a metaphor for life? That is how a professor at American University described it when he showed a trick to his students.

Bryna Kramer has the story.

Professor and producer for NPR Barry Gordemer performed a magic trick in class for his students.

Gordemer, also known as the “Sort of Amazing” Barry, pulled a needle and thread through a balloon without popping it.

He learned the trick from a local magic shop owner, Al Cohen. After he saw the trick done for the first time, Gordemer said the following about his reaction.

Hanya Bruner, a student in the class, said afterward that she really enjoyed her professor's magic.

Other students were trying to figure out the secret behind the trick. Rahi Patel believes it has to do with where the needle is placed on the balloon.

Kirsten Khlor was sitting right in front of Gordemer when he was performing the trick. She thinks he used a special kind of needle.

Even if he used a special kind of needle, Gordemer still blew his audience's mind.
